About Me

My achievements in electronics and engineering began at age 11, building my own performance PC, then subsequently built many more for friends and my dad’s business. At the age of 12, I built a remote-controlled, electrically powered skateboard, using donor parts.

More recently, I have built my own custom workstation desk and at school I have designed a replica lightsabre, using Fusion 360 3D software for the design concept. I am constructing it from 1080 high-carbon steel using CNC lathes, mills, drills with soldering and welding.  So far, I have invested 300 hours into this project which includes an Arduino teensy board as the led lighting controller.

I have been lucky enough to gain practical workplace experience, assembling power transformers and working with high voltage electrical testing equipment at a local factory.

At home and in my spare time, I enjoy my home workshop, equipped with woodwork and metal work tools. I recently fabricated a stave style snare drum here.

I am creatively driven, hard-working and have strong worth ethics. I excel in problem solving and thinking on my feet, either in isolation or as part of team – I understand good vocal communication is key.

I have grown up tinkering with 1960’s air-cooled Volkswagen cars. I frequently visited car festivals, shows and Santa Pod Raceway, where I found myself fascinated by the European drag racing teams working around the clock.

My focus and my passion has always been in automotive engineering, traditional and conceptual.

I love music! I have been learning and composing my own music and have recently formed a band. I am keen on bass guitar, but my real passing is drumming, which I have practiced for the last three years at my own drum kit and at weekly lessons.

As part of my Duke of Edinburgh award I volunteered as a marshal at my local Parkrun for 7 months. I enjoyed being part of a coordinated team and I am keen to complete this when restrictions are lifted.

I have enjoyed competing in Wado Ryu karate and fencing. As a scout and with my family and friends I enjoy camping, hiking and cycling and love to travel around.

MY Experience

  • Built a remote-controlled electric skateboard at the age of 12
  • Built my first pc when I was 11 (and have built many more since)
  • Begun work on machined lightsaber project (using an Arduino teensy board)
  • Experience using 3d design software (for lightsaber) over 300 hours on fusion 360.
  • Built a custom desk fitted to my room
  • Previous experience working in a factory
  • Using machines such as: lathes (wood and metal), mills, drills, soldering irons and many more.
  • Fabricated a stave style snare drum from scratch.
  • Volunteered at parkrun for 7 months before interruption due to Covid.
  • Mechanical experience working on older cars and classics
  • Experience working with high and low voltage electronics
  • I have a workshop that I constantly am making new things and plan new projects.
  • Can do single and multiple point perspective drawings.
  • I’ve attended many car shows, such as Volksfest and Santa Pod Raceway events
